We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Permanent Construction Professional to join our dynamic team.
As an integral part of our construction unit, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, from roads and bridges to airports and water treatment facilities.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a variety of settings and work with a team of dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality construction solutions.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Construction Professional, you will:
1.
Undertake a variety of construction projects including roads, bridges, airports, retaining walls, water treatment, and wastewater.
2.
Plan, manage, and supervise construction projects from conception to completion.
3.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
4.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
5.
Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
6.
Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
7.
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.
8.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
9.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1.
A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
3.
Proven experience in project management and supervision.
4.
Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
5.
Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD.
6.
Advanced understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
7.
Competency in conflict and crisis management.
8.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
9.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
10.
Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
11.
Project management and supervision skills.
12.
Decision-making ability and leadership skills.
13.
Current engineer license.
14.
Time management and organization skills.
15.
A valid driver's license.
